One of the most exciting aspects of performing is premiereing new music. Here are some of the projects I've been fortunate to be a part of:
Time to Burn (Judith Shatin)
- Co-commissioned with I-Jen Fang
- Premiered at PASIC 2006 with I-Jen Fang and oboist Scott Perry
World Premiere at PASIC 2006 (Austin, Texas)
Ground Loops (Peter Traub)
- For solo percussion and internet feedback
- Premiered at Digitalis 2005
Made In America (Joan Tower)
- Co-premiered in 2006 by mega-consortium of 65 orchestras, including the Charlottesville Symphony
- Funded jointly by Ford, National Endowment for the Arts, and the Aaron Copland Fund for Music
Magnificat (Gordon Ring)
- 5 movement work for chorus, organ, and chamber ensemble
- Premiered Dec 17th, 2006 in Farmville, VA
